I'm not believing it but it's really gonna happen. The world will end in 2012... right after the World Tour stops in NY in 2011. "No Way" you say. This was just released today...

Volcom Pipe Pro 2011
Looks like today was a lay day and with a rising swell the boys aren't going unless it's classic Monster Pipe. Thanks guys after seeing the "Dream Tour" event last month I was left wanting more. Like alot more size! I'm thinking the guys at Volcom are gonna make sure it's Proving Grounds Pipe before they run it. Click Volcom to watch!
Still hackin' away
Got a little work done on this guy today. Maked out my fins. 11.5 up from tail for the sides and 3.5 up for center. I finished my rails today but ended up dinging one when I put the board up for the day. If anyone has a way to fix it let me know. I'm thinking elmers glue with some extra fill in foam then sand. Let me know what you think.
Foiled and rockered
I can't believe it its starting to look like a surfboard! I got me some rocker 4.25 nose and 2 1/8 tail. Rock-on!
New tool
To work on the rocker and foil I needed to make a caliper. A little cardboard, some tape, and a little blue tape should do it!
Working on my fred tool
Just putting together a fred tool. My neighbor Pete cut the 30° angle and cut it to length. Maybe I should call it the Pete tool. Anyway, thanks Pete!
Update on build
Check this out I got started on the foam munching! Roughed out the board. Got the tail and nose templates cut. This thing should be about 5'9 x 18 1/4 x 2 1/8 rounded pin tail. Fo sheezy!
My first surfboard build!
Getting her started
You should totally use a work bench, I had to have a massage after.
Bench is almost done. Just using old junk I had laying around.
Awh yeah! Done-zo!
Now I'm ready to get this board shaped! I hope this board at least floats. Wish me luck.
New board porn! So hot!

Stephanie Gilmore attacked!
Surfing life reported recently:
Last night Stephanie Gilmore was attacked outside her home in Tweed Heads. A man on a bike rode up and hit her twice with a metal pole.
The four times world champ released this statement. “There was an incident in which I was attacked at my property,” Gilmore said. “It was a completely random act in which I was a victim in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is now a matter for the court. I have sought medical attention and am on my road to recovery in high spirits. I look forward to getting back in the water in six weeks. In the mean time, I’m staying mentally and physically fit every way I can. I have fantastic support from my family and friends and look forward to resting up for a fresh start in the New Year.”
Her alleged attacker is in custody.
Here's a link to her blog so you can wish her speedy recovery.
